Improving the Wellness of Asian Youth 2 (IWAY2) Project
Improving the Wellness of Asian Youth 2 (IWAY2)
IWAY2 is a collaboration between the Public Health Institute (PHI) and Korean Community Center of the East Bay (KCCEB). We aim to provide and increase access to effective trauma-informed care and prevention services for Asian children and families in Alameda County.
IWAY2 is an expansion of our previous IWAY Project that had successfully provided prevention and counseling services to Asian youths through a collaboration with Asian Health Services (AHS). We will further adapt and expand the successful IWAY activities with an additional focus: trauma-informed care and prevention to address harassment and violence against Asians due to the COVID pandemic.

“The best part was having someone to talk to and to be able to relate to, especially my cultural background which helped me be able to understand what I’m going through”
